In terms of numbers dataedge is boarded by a total of 40 employees staffed in all departments as described in the above diagram. dataedge recognized the importance of skilled human resources. Therefore we are in continuous search of young talents in the market to revamp its products and technical team. dataedge expect a staff growth of another 20% justified by revenue. Alauddin A Majid, Chairman of the Board of Director Mr. Majid was Chief Executive officer of BASIC Bank Ltd., Bangladesh for about six years - first as Acting Managing Director from April 1996 to April 1998 and then Managing Director, April 1998 through November 2001. He retired from the Bank's service at the end of his contract period on 25th November 2001. Under his leadership, the Bank consistently achieved growth in profit, assets, equity and shareholders value, over the period. He, supported by dedicated executives and other staff, was able to maintain the Bank's place, in terms of rating, among top ranking banks in Bangladesh. Noor A Alam Chowdhury, Managing Director Nearly two decades of experience in ICT. As a professional, Mr. Chowdhury headed the regional Technology Product Management Team based in Dubai for Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) covering 10 countries in Middle East and South Asia during the period of 1999 to 2001. Prior to the regional assignment he was Head of IT of SCB Bangladesh operation for five years. During his tenure SCB Bangladesh had undergone a tremendous technology upgrade which enabled them to become the no. 1 foreign bank in Bangladesh. His experience includes managing various large technology projects for SCB including the SCB–Grindlays Integration, various Technology Platform Migration for acquired Banks in Lebanon, introduction of automated service delivery channels across the region, etc. Prior to joining SCB, he also worked as Manager IT for CIBA-GEIGY (currently Novartis) and National Life Insurance, currently the largest private sector Insurance Company in Bangladesh. Mr. Noor has commendable knowledge in BFIs (including core banking) & ERP application and underlying technology platform. He is at present heading as IT Consultant of Eastern Bank Limited to lead the Bank in achieving highest ROI in terms of their IT investment. Md. Asifuzzaman, Director Operations & Managing Director (Current Charge) Started his profession in IBM World Trade Corporation, Bangladesh in 1994. Mr. Asif worked in IBM WTC for five years before joining Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh as a Senior Manager in Technology Service Management and finally heading the IT team. He has vast knowledge in mission critical application and infrastructure implementation and management. During his decade-long professional career he managed large & mission critical technology project deployment and operations for multiple customers on behalf of IBM. He had also undergone several infrastructure and application deployment and upgrade projects while in SCB including SCB-Grindlays Technology Integration, Assist in roll-out of centralized core banking in SCB, Pakistan, etc. Mr. Asif has strong and up-to-date knowledge on available technology products with specialization in high availability infrastructure. He has expert abilities in various aspects of ICT products, system architecture, design and administration. Sk. Md. Reajul Islam, Director Finance Mr. Islam worked as Manager Finance in Standard Chartered Bank. He possesses rich experience in Accounting and Finance and had been an integral part of the team automating the financial systems in SCB. He has also been instrumental in planning and developing multiple MIS systems in SCB. His vast experience in Finance and Banking Operations are invaluable asset of dataedge. Since joining dataedge as a founder member he has been an integral part of the large BFIs projects in the area of functional setup of applications. He also possesses expert knowledge in database design. Md. Abdul Hye, Sr. Consultant As a founder share holder Mr. Hye contributed in all the system integration projects using his 14+ years of experience in Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh in various Business and IT rolls including General banking, Data Center operations, Security Management, Application and Infrastructure Support. He understands process and security for technology based service management. His contribution in tuning the system components for optimum use helps our customers to plan proper capacity with the best value proposition.
